The Oxford Brookes campus of Harcourt Hill is only a few miles from the centre of Oxford, surrounded by spacious landscaped ground and greenery. Oxford is not only famous for its university but has many other attractions, museums, theatres and a picturesque riverside that are appealing to students who wants to spend a summer course in the UK.

Oxford Brookes University International Summer school
Location
Time to central London: 1hr 15. Nearest town: Oxford by bus. Transfer times: London Heathrow - 1hr30, London Gatwick - 1hr45 Groups/individuals are met at the airport by an Activity Leader who will welcome you and escort you back to the campus. Travelcards: One week Oxford City bus pass is included with unlimited travel on the Oxford City bus network.
Facilities
Sports: The Harcourt Hill Campus has its own sports centre on-site with sports hall, gym and swimming pool. Group leaders may use the gym facilities on a pay as you go basis. Social spaces: Activities are held in the Student Union in Westminster Square. Students may use the communal kitchens as a social space only.
Accommodation
Single en-suite bedrooms arranged along corridors of 6-8 rooms. Rooms are all recently built to a high standard and all include a desk for private study. Each accommodation block has a communal kitchen which can be used as a social space.
Local Transport
Rail: Trains depart from Oxford to London every 15 minutes. A train journey to London takes about an hour on average. Bus: The U1 bus runs from the campus to Oxford city centre very regularly. Check with the Activity Manager for more detailed times.
Internet
Wi-Fi internet is available across campus including in halls of residences. Please refer to your Centre Manager for Wi-Fi access codes.
Academics
Average students per class: 16. English levels: Elementary - Proficiency (programme can be adjusted to lower English levels). Additional qualifications available: Trinity GESE exam and PCTO programme
Security
There is 24 hour security. No safes in the bedrooms. The Centre Manager has a safe in their office for Group Leaders to store money/passports securely. An access fob, a key and lanyard are supplied to students. A replacement key is £18 and a replacement fob is £10. A replacement lanyard is £ 2. Damage deposits of £20 or €30 will be collected.
Laundry
There is a laundry room located on site. Card system used. It is £2.70 for a wash and £1.20 for tumble dryers. Cards can be purchased from Loring Management Centre. All of the laundry facilities are self-service. Open: 7.00 - 23.00. Bed linen will be washed once a week by the University laundry.
Meal
Breakfast: 07:00 - 08:45. Toast, cereal, pastry, yogurt, fruit. Cooked breakfast once a week. Lunch: 12:30 - 13:45. Pasta, meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert. Dinner: 18:00 - 20:00. Meat or vegetarian main course with potatoes, vegetables, salad and dessert.
